Week Eight Update

With just 10 days left in this 2026 Legislative Session, there is much work to be done—including negotiations and adoption of the 2026 Supplemental Operating, Capital, and Transportation Budgets. As the Operating Budget moved through the process, multiple supportive amendments for K-12 were introduced—they were all rejected. While we watch the Budgets, we continue to work on the remaining impactful bills, with a major focus on the potential K-12 exemption from last session’s sales tax extension.
